Jaideep Mehta
Country Manager, IDC India Jaideep Mehta leads the IDC business unit in India. He joined the company in early 2011 after spending a year as an independent advisor to various high performing merging companies. Prior to that, he was based in London, UK and worked at Gartner for over 5 years where he was Regional VP for Sales Operations – EMEA. Before Gartner, he spent 2.5 years in the Indian Outsourcing Sector, most notably at Zensar Technologies where he spearheaded the set up to their Financial Services practice in Europe. During the late nineties, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of a software products company based in New Delhi which successfully launched Asia’s first Guest Relationship Management product for luxury hotels. Jaideep is a graduate from the Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University. He then completed an MBA degree from IIM, Bangalore and the Manchester Business School, UK. He enjoys reading, the occasional game of tennis and driving to remote parts of India. |

Deepak Kumar
Research Director—Telecommunications, Mobile Phones and Networking, IDC, India Deepak Kumar is the Research Director for Telecommunications, Mobile Phones and Networking, based in Delhi.Deepak has more than 21 years of experience in the areas of market research, and print, wired and online media, of which at least 11 years have been of doing focused research and analyses work in the ICT domain. Dr. Adwaita Govind Menon
Associate Director & Head – New Products, IDC India. Adwaita looks after the PC & peripheral research in India and additionally helps in development and commercialization of new products specific to market requirements. He is an active member of IDC consulting team and is currently leading the IDC India government programme. Adwaita is a PhD in "Strategic Management." He holds a B.Tech in IT (gold medal) and Masters in Business Laws. He has been a consultant and a researcher by profession advising companies on Strategy Formulation & Deployment, Leadership Development, Innovation and Organisational Design for Change. He has worked with clients across industries such as Automotive (Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra 2Wheelers), Banking & Insurance (Axis Bank, Max New York Life), Education (Ravenshaw Univ., CIMP), Energy (Schneider Electric), FMCG (Cadbury Kraft, Akzo Noble), IT (HCL Technologies) & Manufacturing (Mahindra & Mahindra, New Holland, Lohia Group). Shalil Gupta
Consulting & Financial Insights Director, IDC India Shalil Gupta is the Consulting and Insights Director for India. He leads the IDC India Consulting practice and is also responsible for End User Insights Research, with personal specialization in technology issues within the financial services industry. Shalil joins IDC after a decade of experience in the IT department of Fortune 100 companies. He has worked in India, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. During his time at these organizations, he has driven the development of enterprise level technology strategies, managed large transformation and IT programmes and played a leading role in post-merger IT integration of two banks in the UK. He then spent 2 years as the Head of Delivery of a specialist capital markets software products house where he also played the role of Technical and Pre-Sales Lead. He is a graduate in Computer Science and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), a leading business school in India. |
